Jill Johnson, 66 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born March 28, 1949 in Lebanon, KS to William and Margaret (Leonard) Boatright. Jill graduated from Gibbon High School in 1967 and Kennedy College in 1971. On June 19, 1970, she was united in marriage to Paul Johnson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton, NE. Jill has spent the past 30+ years teaching 7th and 8th grade English at St. Wenceslaus and Bishop Neumann Schools.

Jill not only worked at Bishop Neumann, but the people of St. Wenceslaus and Bishop Neumann were her extended family. She loved her Junior High kids and she was a mother figure at Neumann. Every day she encouraged her kids to read and she was an avid reader herself. Jill was a Junior High Lead Teacher and a Co-Moderator of the National Honor Society.

Family was a very important part of Jill’s life. She was a proud mother and she loved her grandchildren. She always enjoyed playing cards, traveling with her husband Paul, and going to the movies. Jill was also a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the St. Wenceslaus PCCW, and the FFI (Foolish Female Investors) Club.

She is survived by husband of 45 years, Paul Johnson; children, Adam (Carrie) Johnson of Wahoo, Bil (Brandi) Johnson of Wahoo, and Beth (Jon-Erik) Divis of Wahoo; grandchildren, Kenna and Avery Johnson, Jack and Sam Johnson, Oscar Divis, and a soon to be grandchild due in August; sister, Jamie (Phil) Maddern of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, David Boatright of Colorado Springs, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Alex Divis.
