Nancy Addleman 1939 - 2009

Nancy Ellen Brown Addleman was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, on March 9, 1939. She passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009, following a battle with cancer of the liver. She graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School in 1957, Stephens College in 1959, and J.F.K. College in 1968. On August 22, 1959, she and Duane Addleman were married. Nancy joined the General Federation of Women's Club in 1980, in Big Rapids, Michigan. When the family moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1985, she became a member of Fidelis Club and later joined the Sorosis Club. Throughout the years she served at all levels of GFWC including State President. Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Duane; four children and six grandchildren, Mike and Emily Addleman and children, Abby and Dan, Mount Vernon, Steve and April Addleman and children, Stephanie and Wyatt, Fishers, Indiana, Katie and Brent Thieman and children, Morgan and Drew, Springfield, Missouri, and Tom and Robin Addleman, Harrisonville; a sister, Suzy Mumbrue and husband, Roger, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; and her deeply loved pets, Bo and Buddy. A celebration of Nancy's life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 10, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Following the service, lunch will be served in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1551 E. Portland, Springfield. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, in the funeral home.
